Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve thermal characteristics deterioration and unstable properties of ferromagnetic amorphous alloy by treating ferromagnetic amorphous alloy in a rotating magnetic field at at temperature lower than Curie point. CONSTITUTION:A ferromagnetic amorphous alloy thin belt 2 is housed in a case 3 mounted on the holder 4 in a thermostatic oven 1. U-type iron arm 5 having strong magnets 6 at its bottom is rotated by motor 8 and drive shaft 7 around the case 3. The alloy thin belt 2 is maintained at a required temperature below Curie point and undergoes application of rotating magentic field. This improves unstable properties of the alloy, so that heat treatment would not deteriorate its magnetic characteristics. As a result, troubles in practical use are eliminated. Magnetic properties may be further increased by this thermal treatment if it is performed after alloy permeability is enhanced by thermal treatment at a temperature between Curie point and crystallization temperature. The reverse procedure is also possible, but it requires rapid heating and cooling in the range of Curie point and recrystallization temperature. Otherwise, disappeared magnetic after effect (D.A) reappears, so precaution is required.
