Abstract

CONSTITUTION: One or two or more kinds of the specific amounts of Ni, Cr, Mo, V, Nb, Ti, Zr and Cu are contained in the steel of the basic components composed of C; 0.01W0.20%, Si; 0.1W1.0%, Mn; 0.5W2.0%, Al<0.1%, N; 0.001W0.009% and the rest of Fe to make S 0.002% or less. Further one or two or more kinds of Ca, Mg, Hf, REM, Y and B are added thereto. With this steel, the work induction Ar3 point lowers because of its low S, the restoration phenomenon of the worked austenite and ferrite becomes faster and even if it is subjected to two phase region rolling, no texture develops thus it is superior in brittle rupture and ductile rupture characteristics as the steel for gas line pipe used under low temperature and high pressure.
