Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce noise and energy loss effectively by using aluminum alloy involving silicon 5-20 per cent as the material of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:A high-tension voltage from an ignition coil no shown is fed to a central terminal 7 across a high-tension cable, is transmitted to a rotor electrode 3 through a spring 8 and center carbon 9. After breaking the insulation of air with a discharge gap G between the rotor electrode 3 and a side electrode 6, the high- tension voltage is sent to an ignition plug through a high-tension cable. Aluminum silicon alloy of silumin is used to form at least one of the rotor electrode 3 and side electrode 6 causes great drop in capacity discharge current and discharge voltage so that radiowave noise may reduce.
