Abstract

1,129,455. Sparking plugs. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Sept. 3, 1965 [Sept. 30, 1964], No. 37647/65. Heading F1B. A combined high tension creeping-spark sparking plug comprises a centre electrode 5 arranged in an insulator 4 which has a surface forming a creepage path along which ignition sparks may creep for the purpose of increasing the spark length, the earth electrode 7 being spaced radially outwardly of the insulator surface forming the creepage path and being axially offset with respect to the centre electrode in a direction away from the insulator surface to draw the ignition sparks away from the insulator surface. There may be four earth electrodes.
