Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the interception of the load on the water-wheel side and the interception of the inlet on the pump side stably and safely by varying the speed of closing a valve body, having the fixed turning position of the valve body as a boundary.
CONSTITUTION: The main valve body 11 of an inlet valve 5 is closed sharply due to interception instruction signal, with a closure speed determined by a control throttle valve 19. This closure speed is a value which allows the excessive speed increase in intercepting the load on the water-wheel side to be reduced as much as possible or allows the reverse revolution in intercepting the input on the pump side to be prevented. When the main valve body 11 is closed to a fixed turning position, a multicontact limit switch 34 which is linked to the output shaft of a main valve servo motor 15 closes, and a magnetic valve 31 operates, and a control throttle valve 30 is operated. Then, the main valve body 11 is closed with a closure speed faster than before. This closure speed allows the increase of pressure in a water pressure iron pipe in intercepting the load on the water-wheel side to be minimum or allows the decrease of pressure in an intake pipe in intercepting the input on the pump side to be minimum.
