Abstract
PURPOSE:To converge quickly to an idling revolution number and to prevent engine stop page upon racing the engine, by a method wherein a gain in the idling revolution number control system is switched in accordance with the operating condition of the engine during a period from starting to a predetermined condition. CONSTITUTION:The idling revolution number control system controls the idling revolution number into a predetermined value by a control unit 12 by a method wherein a throttle actuator 7 is controlled by feedback in accordance with the respective output of a suction vacuum senser 8, a cooling water temperature senser 9 and an engine revolution number sensor 10. In this case, said unit 12 is constituted so as to be equipped with a means for switching the gain in the revolution number control system by said actuator 7. Said switching means is controlled so as to switch the gain in the revolution number control system in accordance with the operating condition of a throttle valve in the initiating condition after finishing the starting of the engine and also with the operating condition of the engine.
