Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the smooth idling control by correcting the signal fixed as an average return signal in accordance to the operating condition when the idling operation has continued more than predetermined time and performing the fixed control on the basis of said signal.
CONSTITUTION: The signal from an air fuel ratio sensor 10 is passed through AGC circuit 16, comparator 18 and an integrating circuit 20 then compared at a comparator 24 with the saw-tooth wave produced from a saw-tooth wave generating circuit 22. The duty signal to be determined by the relation of the magnitude is transmitted through an amplifier 26 to an electromagnetic valve 12 for controlling the air fuel ratio. The signals from an r.p.m. sensitive switch 30 turning on below the setting level and a negative pressure switch 32 turning on at the negative pressure higher than predetermined level are povided to AND gate 34, while during the idling a signal to be smoothed by a smoothing circuit 38 is stored in a memory 42 through a timer circuit 36. The fixed control of the electromagnetic valve 12 is performed by the duty level to be stored during the turning-off of the switch 44.
