Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the automatic starting by comparing r.p.m. of an engine preset and stored in correspondence with the temperature related to the engine with actual r.p.m. at the start then controlling the starter and the control level for a fuel injection control mechanism in accordance with the result of comparison.
CONSTITUTION: Prior to the start a plurality of proper values of initial combustion r.p.m. and complete combustion r.p.m. of an engine corresponding with the ambient air temperature and the cooling water temperature are preset and stored A2. At the start the control lever for a fuel injection control mechanism is set at maximum operational position to actuate a starter. Then an r.p.m. signal form a rotation sensor C and a proper value of initial combustion r.p.m. selected in accordance with the temperature are compared A3. When the former value exceeds over the latter value the starter is stopped, and the r.p.m. at said time and proper value of complete combustion r.p.m. are compared A6. If the former value exceeds over the latter value, the control lever is automatically set at the idle position to complete the starting operation.
