Abstract

PURPOSE:To solve deficiency in grounding of an electrophotographic receptor without impairing a conductive layer, by coating a conductive coating diffusive into a photosensitive layer on one side or both side ends of the layer. CONSTITUTION:Photosensitive layer 3 is formed on conductive layer 2 on substrate 1 vapor deposited with Al in a long size, or coated with a conductive material. A conductive coating containing powder of carbon, gold, or the like, and a solvent diffusive into layer 3 is coated on one side or both side ends 6 of layer 3. The substrate end is wound on an aluminum core immediately after coating in one round, and all the substrate is wound up after sufficiently drying the coated surface. The conductive coating diffuses into layer 3, and reaches layer 2. Since the coated layer becomes flat and as same as layer 3 in level, difference in level is not caused in winding, and does not impair layer 3, permitting defects of an image due to poor grounding to be prevented.
