Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease temperature change of memory effect and dark current by providing an insulation layer composed of low melting point inorganic glass on the photoconductive layer comprising dispersing photoconductive particles in low melting point inorganic glass.
CONSTITUTION: Low melting point inorganic glass particles of preferably melting points 400W700°C and photoconductive particles are mixed at ratios of 2:1W1:2 and the mixture is milled together with a solvent, after which it is filtered. This coating solution is coated on a substrate and is then dried, after which it is heated and fired up to the melting point of the low melting point inorganic glass, whereby the photoconductive layer of film thicknesses 50W300μm is formed. On this is formed an insulation layer composed of only the low melting point inorganic glass of the same quality as above particularly to film thicknesses 50W200μm. Further provision of a resin insulation layer of good moisture resistance thereon is equally well. This photoreceptor causes less degradation in charging, is superior in abrasion resistance and solvent resistance and is easy to be manufactured to seamless photoreceptor.
