Abstract
PURPOSE: To control the medicine injection to a sludge treating facility by concentrating the crude sludge from an initial settling basin and excessive sludge from a final settling basin separately in concentration tanks and calculating the properties of the concentrated sludge.
CONSTITUTION: The sludges drawn from a concentration tank 1 for concentrating settled sludge from an initial settling basin and a concentration tank 1b for concentrating excessive sludge from a final settling basin are detected by respective flow rate measuring instruments 3a, 3b. After the sludges are then temporarily stored in a sludge storage thak 4, they are detected by a flow rate measuring instrument 6 and fed to a coagulation and mixture tank 7. A calculator 11 calculates the ratio of inorganic material to organic material in the sludges from the concentrated crude sludge Q1 and concentrated excessive sludge Q2 measured by the instruments 3a, 3b, respectively. It also calculates the medicine injection amount Q4 to the sludge amount Q3 from the result to operate the medicine injection pump 9 to inject the medicine to the tank 7 while measuring it by a flow rate measuring unit 10.
