Abstract

PURPOSE:To form stabilized secondary latent images, by providing an electrophotogaphic apparatus using a photosensitive screen with corona discharging means and its opposite electrode for preventing change of ion corrent passing through the screen during ion modulation in a plurality of times. CONSTITUTION:Recording member 15 is arragned on conductive support 13 to form a positive secondary static latent image on member 1 from a primary static latent image formed on screen 1. This support 13 is used as the opposite electrode of corona wire 14 electrode formed on the reversed side of screen 1. Corona ion current is directed from wire 14 toward member 15. As a result, in the dark portions of screen 1 and electric field is produced as shown by the full lines beta and corona ions effectively arrive at member 15 without little erasing the latent image in spite of an opposite polarity to that of the static latent image on insulating part 4 of screen 1.
