Abstract

PURPOSE: To stably operate a condensing turbine, by controlling the quantity of bleed and the drain of a bleed system by each mounting opening and closing valves to the bleed system to a low pressure feed-water heater from a condensing turbine and a system to a condenser from the bleed system.
CONSTITUTION: The temp of drain recovered to a low pressure feed-water heater 9 from a heat exchanger 12 for producing water is high, and a bleed valve 21 is in a closed condition because it is unnecessary that steam is extracted to the low pressure feed-water heater 9 through a bleed system 24 from a turbine 2 when the quantity of condensation is approx. not less than twice as much as the quantity of steam passng through a main steam stop valve 14. In opening the bleed valve 21 even when drain from the heat exehanger 12 for producing water stops, only devices at the generation side can be operated, and starting has no relation to the water producing side. The flow rate of the turbine 2 is not suddenly changed by using a system 25 and an adjusting valve 22 even when the quantity of steam of the bleed system 24 rapidly changes, thus preventing excess pressure applied to the vanes of the turbine 2, then stabilizing the operation of the turbine.
