Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve fluidized bed combustion efficiency by arranging one or more fuel feeding nozzles on the base plate as inverse-cone type swirl flow distributing plate.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel feeding pipe 4 is arranged at the center of an inverse-cone type swirl flow distributing plate 3 as the base plate of a fluidized bed combustion furnace 1. Consequently, the fuel having been supplied into a fluidized bed 2 through the fuel feeding pipe 4 combusts, swirling with the medium which is swirled by the combustion air 6 which flowed into the fluidized bed 2 through a nozzle 3a from an air chamber 6a. Thus, the time of stay in the fluidized bed 2 is elongated, and a sufficient combustion is obtained due to the long time contact with fluidized medium. Further, if fuel feeding nozzles 4a, 4b, 4'' a are installed horizontally or aslant on the cone slant part of the inverse cone-type swirl flow distributing plate 3, combustion is more effective.
