Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent development of non-fluidized zones in a furnace and to incinerate smoke dust efficiently by forming a perforated plate (having small holes for passing combustion air therethrough into a jet bed furnace) in a funnel-like shape. CONSTITUTION:A funnel-like perforated plate 6 having small holes 3a for passing combustion air therethrough is provided under an upper cylinder 5. A fluidizing medium is pushed toward thd center of the plate 6 by the combustion air injected through the holes 3a, swirled by the rising flow from a vent pipe 8, and flows down along the inside surface of the plate 6. Due to the rising flow from the vent pipe 8, the medium flowing down forms a jet which also flows down along the internal surface of the plate 6. The synergistic effect of the swirl and downflor prevents development of non-fluidized zones on the plate 6 and enables efficient burning of smoke dust without generation of ember lumps.
