Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the power consumption of a coolant transporting pump and obtain comfortable air conditioning by means of driving cycle in which an electrically operated coolant pump and a coolant pump driven by an expansion machine are connected in parallel and refrigeration cycle equipped with a compressor driven by the expansion machine.
CONSTITUTION: When sufficient energy is obtainable by a solar heat collector, if room temperature is high, a control valve 6 is opened, and an electric clutch 7 is connected. As a result of this, the coolant vapor generated in a cooland vapor generator 5 enters in an expansion machine 2 to revolve an output shaft 12, and a coolant pump 8 and a compressor 13 are driven. When the room temperature lowers below a prescribed value, the control valve 6 is colsed by an interior thermo meter 21, and also driving cycle stops. When the room temperature is high, and the energy obtained by a solar heat collector 10 decreases, the control valve 6 is closed, and the electrical clutch 7 is cut-off, and the elctrically operated coolant pump 8 transports coolant liquid, and thus, comfortable air conditioning is performed without interrupting cooling.
