Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to preferencially and efficiently use solar heat in a cooler using solar heat, by connecting a solar heat refrigerator and an auxiliary refrigerator in series and controlling their operations according to temperatures of a refrigerant and a heating medium.
CONSTITUTION: The heating medium heated by a heat collector 1 is passed to a regenerator 6 of the absorption type refrigerator 5, and the refrigerant cooled in an evaporator 12 that uses the heating medium as its heat source is cooled further in an evaporator 15 of the electric refrigerator 14 and is passed to a radiator 23. In this series connection, when the heating medium temperature in a heat accumulating tank 3 is low, the electric refrigerator 14 is actuated, and when that temperature becomes high, the absorption type refrigerator is actuated, and when the heating medium temperature is of around middle value, both of them are operated in parallel. This switching is effected by controlling the absorption type refrigerator 5 according to the heating medium temperature and the electric refrigerator 14 in response to the refrigerant temperature, so that the solar heat can be preferencially and efficiently utilized.
