Abstract
PURPOSE:To recover the whole quantity of the above-mentioned exhaust gas as the fuel, by blowing-in the combustible gas consisting of CO as the main component from the mechanism for blowing-in the combustible gas according to the concentration of CO measured with the detecting mechanism for the composition of exhaust gas and, in this way, by regulating the concentration of CO in the exhaust gas within the range of combustible gas. CONSTITUTION:The CO concentration of the exhaust gas generated from the nearly same period as the start of the refining of steel may be below the allowable concentration as the fuel at the upper stream side above the part for blowing-in the gas but it is necessary to reduce at least the O2 concentration below the explosion limit. At the initial stage and final stage of the refining, the exhaust gas from the detection hole 4 is sent to the analyzing and computing mechanism 5, the damper 7 is driven and controlled according to the result, the combustible gas is blown into the duct 2 through the piping 6 and, in this way, the CO concentration is maintained within an appropriate range. At the intermediate stage of the refining, the blowing of the combustible gas into the duct 2 is stopped generally. Accordingly, because the CO concentration in the whole exhaust gas from the start of the refining to the final stage is held within the range as the combustible gas, the whole quantity of exhaust gas can be recovered as the fuel.
