Abstract
PURPOSE:To distinctly detect the flaw in a colored semitransparent object with the converted electric signal by taking the flaw with a television camera through transmission of the infrared ray light of even brightness. CONSTITUTION:A screen 2 being a secondary light source having even brightness through perfect diffusion is disposed near a light source 1 which emits infrared ray light. The object to be examined 3 being a colored semi-transparent bottle is disposed near the screen 2. A filter 4 which allows transmission of only the infrared rays is mounted and the infrared ray light having transmitted through the bottle is taken with a television camera which has a sensitivity to infrared rays. If there is a flaw 3a in the object to be examined 3, the infrared ray light is cut off, becoming a dark shadow. This shadow is picked up by the television camera and becomes the output waveform including the flaw signal which is then sent to a slicing circuit 6. The slicing circuit 6 removes the television synchronizing signal from this waveform and draws out only the flaw signal. This signal causes a monostable multi circuit 7 to drive a relay 8 for detection signal, closing contacts 9 then from output terminal 9a, the flaw signal is emitted.
