Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a stabilized first flavoring agent for tobacco, by reacting an oxygen-containing organic compound having flavor-improving effect with a Zr salt.
CONSTITUTION: To stabilize an oxygen-containing organic perfumery by forming a stabilized Zr-O-C bond, taking advantage of the strong affinity of Zr to oxygen atom. A water-soluble perfumery such as acetic acid ester, glycolic acid ester, fruit extract, etc., is dissolved in water; the solution is mixed with an aqueous solution of Zr salt such as zirconium oxychloride. Stabilised water-soluble perfumery is precipitated by (1) dissolving a water-soluble perfumery such as acetic acid ester, glycolic acid ester, fruit extract, etc., in water, (2) mixing the solution with an aqueous solution of a Zr salt such as zirconium oxychloride, (3) adjusting the pH of the mixture to ≥6 by adding an alkali, and (4) stirrig the mixture at room temperature to 90°C. jPerfumery soluble to organic solvents is stabilized by dissolving a perfumery such as amyl alcohol, octyl aldehyde, etc. and a Zr salt in an organic solvent such as alcohol, benzene, etc., and (2) adding NH3 gas, Na etc. to the solution. The pref. amount of the stabilized perfume to the raw material of of tobacco is about 0.0001W5 wt%.
