Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the title polyethylene resin composition free of deterioration of tensile elongation even when highly loaded with an inorganic substance, by using inorganic substance powder treated with a speific surface treatment.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt. of a high-pressure polyethylene resin having a melt index of 0.05W1 is kneaded with (B) 65W200 parts by wt. of inorganic substance powder treated with a titanate coupling agent, preferably isopropyltriisostearoyl titanate of formula. Preferably, the inorganic substance powder preferably has a particle size of 0.1W10μ, and a hydrate, e.g. aluminum hydroxide, etc. having water of crystallization and a decomposition temperature of 200W700°C is used for a flame-retardant composition. The amount of the coupling agent is preferably 0.5W5 parts by wt. per 100 parts by wt. of the inorganic substance powder
