Abstract

PURPOSE: A heat-regenerating material which is useful as a heat source of an air conditioner heat pump, etc., and is protected from supercooling, prepared by adding a compound such as BaTiO3 or BaSnO3 to a regenerating material containing CaCl2.6H2O or CaBr2.6H2O.
CONSTITUTION: The regenerating material is obtained by adding as a supercooling- preventing agent, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of BaTiO3, BaSnO3, BaZrO3, BaHfO3, BaCeO3, BaThO3, BaNiO3, BaMnO3, BaNiO2, BaNiO4, Ba(Ca0.5W0.5)O3, Ba(Zn0.5W0.5)O3, Ba(Fe0.5W0.5)O3, Ba(Co0.5 W0.5)O3, Ba(Ni0.5W0.5)O3and BaWO4, to a regenerating material consisting mainly of CaCl.6H2O or CaBr2.6H2O and optionally containing MgCl2.6H2O, MgBr2.6H2O or the like.
EFFECT: Conversion of the supercooling-preventing agent into ceramics makes it possible to readily place the agent in the proper position within a regenerating tank. A proper combination of components of the agents makes it possible to produce a regenerating material having a desirable operation temperature range.
