Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a refractory coating compound capable of forming a film with a few crack and sagging in burning, having no toxicity to the human body, by the dispersing cellulosic short fibers subjected to flame-retardant treatment by a phosphorus compound into a coating compound.
CONSTITUTION: A) A liquid polymer, e.g., a polybutadiene having a low-molecular weight, is blended with B) an inorganic powder filler, e.g., aluminum hydroxide, C) a flame-retardant, e.g., antimony trioxide, and D) 30W80 parts by wt. based on 100 parts by wt. of A) of a cellulosic short fiber treated by 9.10- dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenantherene-10-oxide shown by the formula as a flameretardant to give the desired coating compound.
