Abstract

PURPOSE: To fill refrigerent easily without reducing the amount of lubricant oil, by exhausting a refrigerator by a vacuum pump via an oil receptacle, and subsequently by joining a refrigerent can to the exit pipe of the oil receptacle.
CONSTITUTION: First, the end part of rubber hose 24 is opened to the atmosphere, and with open-close valves 17, 18 and 22 set open, the refrigerent gas in the refrigerator is discharged to the atmosphere via oil receptacle 20. Then, vacuum pump 25 is connected to rubber hose 24, and the refrigerator is exhausted. The lubricant oil contained in the refrigerent gas is separated when it passed oil receptacle 20 and stored in oil receptacle 20. After the completion of evacuation, open-close valve 22 is closed, to which is connected the refrigerent can in place of vacuum pump 25. After the air in rubber hose 24 is discharged by opening worm valve 23, open- close valve 22 is opened and lubricant oil 26 in receptacle 20 is forced to return to the refrigerator by the pressure at the time of filling the refrigerent
