Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease nonvolatile impurities contained in product liq. without increase of heat quantity to be added to a reboiler for evaporation, by concentrating the circulating liq. through a thermosyphon reboiler and a gas/liq. separator installed at the outlet of the reboiler, and by drawing off a very small amount of the conc. liq.
CONSTITUTION: A liq. 1 contg. nonvolatile impurities is fed to a evaporating column 2, and the top vapor 3 is divided into product liq. 6 and reflux liq. 7. Bottom liq. 10 of the evaporating column 2, in which nonvolatile impurities remain, is drawn off through a line 8 and the bottom liq. 10 in an amount equal to that evaporated at the reboiler 9 is fed to the reboiler 9. Then the mixed gas/liq. fluid flowing out of the reboiler 9 is charged 14 to a gas/liq. separator 11, the vapor being returned to the column 2, and the liq. to the reboiler 9, a very small amount 16 of which is drawn off. It is pref. to increase the concn. of nonvolatile impurities of circulating liq. between the separator 11 and the reboiler 9 nearly to saturation. Thus the amount drawn off the line 16 is made as small as possible, consequently, product loss and heat quantity taken away by drawn-off liq. is made as small as possible
