Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently evaporate the liquid, by supplying the liquid from the liquid reservoir to the vessel provided with internals comprising the porous honeycomb structure.
CONSTITUTION: The function of liquid evaporation is carried out through partitions of porous cells of the porous honeycomb structure 1. That is, the air passes inside of cells 14 and evaporates the liquid infiltrated through porous cells' partitions by the capillary action, according to the difference of liquid concentrations, and then, the air goes out of cells' outlets. The vessel 2a surrounds the circumference of the honeycomb structure 1 with the exception of its air inlet and outlet; the liquid 15 is supplied from the liquid reservoir 3a so as to flow down along or to fill the circumference of the honeycomb structure 1 held in the vessel 2a. The liquid quickly infiltrates into the central part through the honeycomb partitions by the capillary action. As a result, even if an excess amount of liquid is supplied to the vessel 2a, the excess evaporation into the air is not caused, and the perfect evaporation can be achieved.
