Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the desalination of the sea water with high efficiency by a procedure in which a black water absorbent serving as an evaporating surface and a film serving as a dew-fall surface, provided in close proximity to the said evaporating surface, are slantly arranged, and the sea water is poured onto the upper part of the water absorbent portion and flowed out of the lower part as saturated sea water.
CONSTITUTION: A box 6 is titled, and a valve 24 is opened to pour the sea water 20 onto the upper part of the water absorbent 8, whereupont the sea water 20 is absorbed in the whole surface of the black porous water absorbent 8 while flowing in a groove 14 and then evaporated from a broad evaporating surface formed by means of solar energy permeating the film 10. By the evaporation, the sea water in the groove 14 is gradually concentrated to the saturated state, flows out of an outlet 26, and then stored in a tank 28. The pure water condensed on the back side of the film 10 is flowed through a plurality of the subcollectors 34 into a main collector 36, flows out of an outlet 38, and then stored in a tank 42.
