Abstract
PURPOSE: To recover a purge liquid whose aluminium sulfate concentration is adjusted by supplying supplementary water while measuring the electric conductivity of the desulfurizatiin treated water for stack gas, containing aluminuates.
CONSTITUTION: Waste gas is introduced into the absorption tower 2 through the pipe 1 and then into the absorption tower 4 through the pipe 3, into each of which towers an absorption liquor containing aluminium sulfate or alum and an aluminate is supplied circularly through the pumps 8 and 9, and then treated by oxidation in the receiving tanks 6 and 7 into which air is introduced through the pipes 11 and 12. The circulating pipe 18 is provided with the primary means of the electric conductivity indicating adjuster 2, and by using the value obtained by the means, the electromagnetic valve 21 of the supplementary water pipe 10 is automatically controlled in order to control the concentration of aluminium sulfate present in recovered liquor to be purged from the receiving tank 6 by the pump 16 at constant one.
