Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent an excess consumption of absorbent in keeping a high desulfurization rate even in a case of treating waste gas of high SO2 concentration, by supplying seperately limestone and slaked lime (or quicklime).
CONSTITUTION: Absorbing liquid which absorbed SO2 in an absorbing tower 102 flows into the first tank 106 into which; limestone slurry-113 is added while agitating the liquid by an agitator 107. The absorbing liquid overflows from the first tank into the second tank to where slaked lime slurry 111 is supplied while agitating the liquid by an agitator 110; and the liquid is circulated to nozzles 104 of the tower 102 by a pump 112. A part of the absorbing liquid quantity equivalent to a collected SO2 quantity is extracted from a line 114 to sent to a next process.
