Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible recording of high gradation even at the use of recording paper of high gammas by forming the respective elements of heating resistors to a required shape and forming the heating temperature distributions corresponding to the thinners and denseness of current densities. CONSTITUTION:A heating resistor 11 is formed of portions of a narrow width and wide width. The narrower the portions, the higher the current density and the higher the heating temperature by Joule heat, thus the heating temperature distributions are controlled according to the energy corresponding to the current and voltage applied to electrodes 12 and common electrode. Hence, controlling of the positions where coloring initiation temperature is reached is readily and surely accomplished even for the recording paper of high gammas and the heat sensitive recording of high resolution, high gradation and high quality may be readily accomplished in the picture element plane corresponding to the picture signals.
