Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of breathing phenomenon of an engine on the start of recirculation by controlling a recirculation valve so as to be opened gradually when an exhaust gas recirculating valve starts operation.
CONSTITUTION: A negative pressure control chamber 24 is allowed to communicate to a negative pressure extracting pipe 18 by means of a communication hole 21, and said communication pipe 21 is allowed to communicate to the air through a check valve 34. The sharp rising variation of the negative pressure in a negative pressure chamber 14 which is generated at the start of exhaust circulation acts onto the check valve 34 through the negative pressure extracting pipe 18 and the communication pipe 21, and the valve body 37 of a check valve 34 transferred steeply in the valve opening direction against the relatively weak spring force of a valve spring 36, and a large amount of the air is supplied temporarily into the negative pressure control chamber 24 of an exhaust pressure control valve Vb, so the sharp rise of negative pressure in the negative pressure chamber 14 of a valve Ve is relaxed, and a valve body 10 is opened gradually. Thus, breathing is lightened.
