Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the uneven luminous brightness on the display screen by extending the both ends of the transparent electrode up to outside of the dielectric substance layer while being masked when plural pieces of parallel transparent electrodes composed of the nesa film are installed on the glass substrate and then the dielectric substance layer is provided over these electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: The plural pieces of transparent electrode composed of In2O3, SnO2 and the like are coated in parallel on glass substrate 1 through sputtering. Then dielectric substance layer 3 is laminated cover the entire surface covering these electrodes 2, and the backward voltage is applied to these electrodes alternately to perform display. In such constitution, one end of electrode 2 which usually has no electrode terminal provided is terminated under layer 3, but this end is extended beyond the outisde of layer 3 with the masking given. Thus, all of electrodes 2 are extended outside layer 3. As a result, the uniform luminous brightness can be obtained through an extremely simple constitution.
