Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure reliable sealing when the axle stops or rotates at a low speed by preparing an inner seal ring for the housing and an outer seal ring for the rotational axle which is of elastic material and seals the gap between the inner and the outer rings by coming in contact with the inner seal ring.
CONSTITUTION: In the circular groove 12 formed on the supporting ring 11 fixed to one side of a housing 3 is fitted an inner seal ring 15 composed of a rubber ring 13 on the inside and a friction ring 14 on the outside. To a given location on a rotational axle 1 is fixed an outer seal ring 16 of the L type, of elastic material and with a friction ring 17 sticking to the free end inner circumferential surface. By this, when the rotational axle 1 stops or rotates at a low speed the friction ring 17 comes in contact with the inner seal ring 15 by elastic force and seals the inside and the outside. At a high speed rotation the friction ring 17 is separated from the friction ring 14. By doing so reliable sealing can be secured when the axle stops or rotates at a low speed.
