Abstract
PURPOSE: To stabilize control in high speed range by short-circuiting a resistor connected in series with an armature only under such a condition that armature current or armature current instruction value is lower than a predetermined value.
CONSTITUTION: During regenerative braking of a DC motor by a chopper CH, in such a range that the speed is larger than the specified speed of an armature, a resistor R2 is connected in series with the armature M so as to prevent an overcurrent from flowing. Even in high speed range, when the current instruction value Ip is lower than a predetermined value Cons and the difference between the voltage Ec across a capacitor C and the voltage EM generated by the armature M is larger than a predetermined value K, a breaker S2 is closed to short-circuit the resistor R2.
