Abstract
PURPOSE: To omit an induction shunt unit in the control device for the electric motor vehicle and to obtain the control device which is inexpensive and relatively light by utilizing a current smoothing reactor becoming unnecessary upon shortcircuit of a chopper as an induction shunt unit.
CONSTITUTION: The induction shunt unit is omitted in the control device for the electric motor vehicle, a switch S3 is instead provided, and a resistor RF and a current smoothing reactor MSL are connected in series with each other upon closure of the switch S3. When the current flow rate of the chopper CH becomes maximum, switches S2, S3 are closed, and a switch S1 is successively opened. The series unit of the resistor RF and the DC smoothing reactor MSL is connected in parallel with the field winding F of the motor in this state. The motor current does not flow through the switch S2 to the chopper CH, but operates in the state that the chopper CH is shortcircuited. Accordingly, the smoothing reactor MSL serves also as the function of the induction shunt unit, and can resultantly suppress the deterioration of rectification of the motor current caused by the increase in the motor current.
