Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the failure in the commutation of an inverter, by adjusting a current limit value and suppressing the sharp increase in the current of the inverter.
CONSTITUTION: A differentiation circuit 48, a comparison circuit 49, a pulse generation circuit 50 and an integration circuit 51 are added to an inverter control circuit comprising a speed setting unit 25, a ramp circuit 26 for setting the time-dependent rate of acceleration or deceleration of an induction motor 24 depending on the output of the setting unit 25, a voltage control operational amplifier 32, etc. The output of the ramp circuit 26 is applied to the integration circuit 51. The output of the voltage control operational amplifier is limited by that of the integration circuit. The current of the inverter is thus prevented from sharply increasing when the rate of acceleration or deceleration of the induction motor under an acceleration or deceleration instruction has exceeded a prescribed level. Therefore, the failure in the commutation of the inverter is prevented.
