Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect the DC motor and the speed control unit thereof from the overcurrent by a method wherein the overcurrent is disconnected after the overcurrent is detected by means of the resistor connected to the DC motor in series and delayed for the specified time in the time constant circuit. CONSTITUTION:When the current I to be supplied for the bridge circuit is increased due to the lock and the overload, the terminal voltage of the resistor 2 connected to the DC motor 1 in series is boosted. Then the output voltage of the time constant circuit 18 comprising the resistor 16 and the condenser 17 connected in series is increased making the transistors 19, 20 and 23 conductive if said voltage exceeds the specified value. Through these procedures, the transistors 10, 9 are disconnected to disconnect the current I to be supplied for the bridge circuit stopping the DC motor 1.
