Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the picture which is sharp and less in distortion, by reducing the shift in superposition and the number of electrodes through the simplification of a plurality of electrodes incorporatedly.
CONSTITUTION: The hole 33 about 0.6 mm in diameter is provided on the electrode plate of Ni,Cr and Fe alloy, and the stripes of crystalline frit glass of low melting point are selectively formed on the surface other than the hole 33. Further, on the slope of the glass 34, Cr or Ti about 1000Å thick is selectively evaporated in stripes and further, gold or gold alloy is evaporated by about 2000Å, forming the electrodes 35 and 36. The electrodes 35 and 36 are attached at about 10 μm from the upper side of the glass 34 and on the slope up to about 10 μm from the surface in contact with the electrode plate 32, and the top 34a is taken as the spacer. Thus, the electrode plate 32 and the beam control electrodes 35 and 36 are incorporated without position shift and superimposed in multiple layer to reduce the electron beam distortion and to obtain sharper picture.
