Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the high density picture image with high speed scanning, by mounting the planar acceleration electrodes on the first and second control electrode groups and the second electrode group while mounting planar phosphor face on the planar electrode through an insulative supporting rod having circular cross-section. CONSTITUTION:It is comprised of an insulation supporting borard 19 provided with the first and second control electrode groups 16, 18 having independent first and second control electrodes while having the hole section 19a similar with the insulated supporter 17 provided on said electrode 18, a planar acceleration electrode 20 having the hole section 20a for passing the electron beam provided on said supporter, an insulative supporting rod 21 having circular cross-section provided on said electrode 20 and made of the insulative member such as the glass and a planar phosphor face 23 made of glass the inner face of which is formed with the phosphor material layer on which the picture element 22 can be arranged regularly. Consequently a planar display having high quality even with high speed scanning can be obtained.
