Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the inherent noise and to improve the performance, by composing the electrode section of an electron gun with such material as not emit the secondary beam while constructing such that the image which will cause the noise for the picture image will not be focused on the target. CONSTITUTION:Two ceramics 17 and 19 composed of insulator such as ceramic are fixed to an electron gun block 3 where G1 electrode 14 and G2 electrode are integrated through beading glass 16, where one disc 17 is fixed to the upper electrode or G2 electrode 15 of the electron gun 3 while the other disc 19 is fixed to a supporting rod 18 which is provided while considering the positional correspondence with the center of the electron gun 3. The outer-diameter of the discs 17, 19 has sufficient accuracy for the fitting with the outer tube 6 where the center is coincided with the center of the electron gun 3. When fitting the discs 17, 19 into the inner diameter section of the outer tube 6 alignment of center can be performed while the lower disc 19 is used as the cover for getter 8 to prevent the getter 8 from dispersing to the direction of a deflection yoke.
