Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the picture quality of a plane type picture device by taking out an electroconductive plate of electron beam stream control electrodes and an electroconductive plate of horizontal deflecting electrodes by the seal part of a glass vessel to outside the vessel through insulation. CONSTITUTION:When an electroconductive plate 32 of a plurality of electron beam stream control electrodes 31 arranged vertically at a certain spacing and an electroconductive plate 34 of a plurality of horizontal deflecting electrodes 30 arranged vertically are taken out of a flat glass vessel 35, they are insulated from each other with a seal part of the glass vessel 35 through insulation and sealed. Thereby the electroconductive plate 34 of the horizontal deflecting electrodes can be taken out of the vessel while insulated from the electroconductive plate 32 of the electron beam stream control electrodes, and the horizontal deflecting electrodes 30 can be divided into any number of groups at any point to enable correction matching with the characteristic of the electron beam, which can now be landed at a specified point on the fluorescent screen.
