Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the formation of Nox, by automatically controlling a combustion condition in an incinerator so that the condition be brought to the optimum combusion condition on the basis of the quantity of matter to be burnt charged, combustion elements, such as, feed speed, the quantities of primary and secondary air, the quantities of auxiliary combustion materials, etc. and the analytical value, of the temperature, moisture contents, quantity of carbon, etc. of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of matter to be burnt, such as, urban waste, etc., which are charged, is measured (or set), and the quantities of auxiliary combustion materials, the quantities of primary and secondary air and the feed speed of the matter to be burnt in the case when operating an incinerator are measured (or set). The quantity, temperature, moisture contents and quantity of carbon dioxide of exhaust gas are automatically measured. These measurement value and set value are instantaneously input to an automatic computing element, moisture contents, the quantity of combustible carbon and the quantity of heat generated in the matter to be burnt are computed and the quality of the matter to be burnt is presumed. Meanwhile, the optimum furnace operating condition set value corresponding to the quality of the matter to be burnt is sent to a comparison computing portion from a memory storage directly connected to a presuming portion of the quality of the matter to be burnt, and comparison computed with an actual operating condition. A control portion simultaneously functions so that the actual operating condition coincide with an adequate furnace operating condition, and the condition is set so that the inside of the furnace be brought to the optimum combustion condition.
