Abstract
PURPOSE: To determine the oxygen utilization rate change with the passage of time, by locating an opening and a closing valve at a circulating mixed liquid flow passage comprising of solution residual oxygen meter detecting element and a circulating pump so that the flow passage can be isolated from the air, and by operating a measurement process by means of a time sequence.
CONSTITUTION: After mixed liquid in an aeration tank 1 has been introduced into a tank 9, it will be aerated, and discharged from a circulating pump 14 after being detected by a solution residual oxygen meter detecting element 13. At that time new mixed liquid shall be fully filled into a mixed liquid passage by operating an opening valve 8c and a closing valve 8d. And the mixed liquid kept between the opening valve 8c and the closing valve 8d is circulated at higher than a given speed by means of the circulating pump 14. The change with the passage of time (a drop) concerning solution residual oxygen density in the mixed liquid thus is determined. The change of oxygen utilization rate in the mixed liquid can be constantly and accurately determined by repeating automatically each aforesaid process by means of a time sequence.
