Abstract

PURPOSE: To know the leak water quantity at each region as well as facilitate an easy detection for the water leak area, by carrying out the piping through the region division in order to grasp the minimum water quantity used in a day and thus measuring the minimum water quantity used per day for each region.
CONSTITUTION: The water quantity flowing into region A1 is measured by flowmeter 1, and the sampled measurements of the water quantity is compared with the memory value of memory 4 by comparator 3 and through sampling device 2. And the smaller value is stored newly. In other words, the minimum value is always stored in memory 4. In the case of a house demanding the water supply, the water flows through flowmeter 1 only when the water is used. Thus the water supply pattern is like (a). With increment of the demand, the pattern varies to (b)→(c)→ (d) which lack the zero-time band. Accordingly, the number of the demand houses is set to a proper amount, and the water supply pattern is set like (d). At the same time, flow rate measuring device C1 is set so that it shows zero only in a certain time t0, and the sampling cycle is set smaller than t0. As a result, the contents of memory 4 become to zero. In such way, the leak water quantity can be measured by reading the contents of memory 4.
