Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately measure the temperature of a reactor core inlet, by measuring the temperature of a coolant flowing into a reactor core in a by-pass flow path.
CONSTITUTION: A main flow path 10, which moistens a fuel rod 1 and flows in a channel 2, and a by-pass flow path 20 flowing to the outside of the channel are mounted as coolant inflow paths at a lower portion of a reactor core of a water- boiler type reactor. A temperature detector 99 is installed to a reactor inside instrumenting pipe 6 mounted to the by-pass flow path 20, and measures the temperature of a coolant flowing into the reactor core. The instrumenting pipe 6 is formed so that the temperature detector 99 and the coolant can sufficiently contact in such a manner that a hole 11 is disposed to the pipe 6 in the same height as a lower end of the fuel rod 1 in order that the coolant flow through the inside.
