Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent excessively dense mixture gas for an internal combustion engine by communicating the upper portion above fuel liquid surface in the float chamber of a carburetor through a fuel return pump with a fuel tank to thereby forcibly return evaporated fuel to tank side.
CONSTITUTION: A float chamber 11 for containing a float 13 is opened through a wave preventive sub chamber 41, a main jet 26, and a fuel passage 25 with a venturi 5 within an air intake manifold 3, and the upper space 27 in the chamber 11 communicates with the manifold 3 via an air vent 29, and further communicates with a fuel tank 24 via a needle valve 17. An evaporated fuel return orifice 31 is provided at the position lower than the air vent 29 in the space 27 for forcibly returning the evaporated fuel in the float chamber 11 through the orifice 31 into a tank 24 by a fuel return pump 35. Reference numeral 45 indicates a fuel return orifice provided as required for returning the fuel to the tank 24 when the fuel temperature in the chamber 11 is increased.
