Abstract

1513051 Spray carburetters; vaporizing fuel J WILKES and J WILKES 9 Jan 1976 [7 Feb 1975] 5238/75 Headings F1B and F1H Kerosene, paraffin or white spirit, supplied to a float chamber 11 is vaporized in a stainless steel pipe 17 in the exhaust manifold or a pipe in an inlet manifold jacket containing engine cooling water. The vapour is supplied to the float chamber above the liquid level and withdrawn therefrom through a pipe 16 connected to a petrol and air carburetter upstream or downstream of the petrol nozzle. The fuel is supplied from the tank 8 by gravity or an electric pump.
