Abstract
PURPOSE: To suppress a rise of the pooled water, by making a flow of high temperature and high pressure steam, from a dry well via horizontal vent tube, from one room formed by a pedestal provided in the chamber into the pooled water in another room.
CONSTITUTION: When broken a tubing in the primary system linked to a nuclear reactor pressure container 11, the coolant in a pile 11 is discharged to a dry well 4. As the result, with a pressure in the dry well 4 rising, the mixed gas, made by its air or the replaced nitrogen and a steam generated by reduced pressure boiling of the coolant, that is, the steam of high temperature and high pressure passes an outflowing hole 14 of the floor 3 to a room 17, further flowing through from an outflowing hole into a room 18. Consequently, a pressure in air space portion of the room 18 rises, depressing the level of pooled water down in the room 18, which passes a vent tube 23 moving toward another room 19. Hereafter, the mixed gas of air and steam enters from the vent tube 23, disclosed above the liquid level, to a reducer pipe 24, being carried into a pooled water 21.
