Abstract
PURPOSE: To uniformize non-condensible gas and steam released into the pool water from the steam delivery pipe by means of a plural pressure baffers having plural discs with numerous pores arranged at a fixed space provided at the bottom of the down comer.
CONSTITUTION: When a hot high pressure steam flows into a down comer or a steam delivery tube, for example, an exhaust tube 10 for safety valve or the like having an opening under water, non-condensible gas previously sealed thereinto is compressed. The gas passes through pores 12 (12a to 12c) on a pressure baffers 11 (11a to 11c). However, it suffers a loss in pressure due to a voltex generated when it is discharged into the subsequent space. Then, when the steam is released into the pool water 6, the even release from the pores eases compression. Even when the pressure in a housing vessel 2 fall below that of suppression chamber 8, the pool water 6 does not flow suddenly through the pore 12' which are large in resistance.
