Abstract
PURPOSE: To catch solid particles at start effectively and prevent pressure drop of steam under working conditions, by movably providing an outer strainer on the outer periphery of an inner strainer in a steam strainer of a main steam shut-valve.
CONSTITUTION: Main steam 2 generated by a boiler heater is flowed into a high pressure turbine through a main steam shut-valve 3, is whose valve main body 12, a strainer 15 is provided around the outer periphery of a valve 14 to prevent solid particles 13 contained in the main steam 2 from entering the steam turbine. An outer strainer 22, which is divided into more than two parts, is provided around the outer periphery of the strainer 15. Each part of the outer strainer 22 is provided with a moving and operating mechanism 25. Both strainers 15, 22 are used as a double strainer when starting the turbine, and under normal working conditions is used only the strainer 15 to operate the turbine while preventing the pressure drop of the steam.
